FAIRBURN PARISH COUNCIL MEETING - 24TH OCTOBER 2006

I hereby give notice that a meeting of the above Parish Council on Tuesday 24 October 2006 at 6.30 pm in the Community Centre Hall.

Meetings are open to press and public except for any specific item labeled as Part 2 under the Local Government Act.

The press and public may not speak when the council is in session.

1. APPOINTMENT OF NEW COUNCILLOR

The meeting will be adjourned for a period of up to 15 minutes to allow comments/questions from Fairburn residents.  There will be a limit of 3 minutes per person.  Decisions can only be made on agenda items. Any matters for the agenda should reach the clerk at least one week before the next meeting.

3. MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING – formal approval

4. CLERK’S REPORT including street lighting, Remembrance Sunday.

5. PLANNING MATTERS – application for conservatory at Holmefield, Caudle Hill and re-submission for art studio on land adjacent to Meridies, Rawfield Lane.

8. SEWERAGE – report on meeting chaired by MP on 20 October

9. NEW ROAD – report on meeting chaired by MP on 20 October

10. BUS ROUTES – report on meeting with Arriva and relevant agencies on 18 October

11. ALLOTMENTS – release of Kippax allotments available to Fairburn residents, to note advice by Selby District Council legal department and parish council follow up

12. LIGHTER SAFER COMMUNITIES PROJECT – successful funding application

13. POLICE CRIME AND DISORDER TRAINING – training course Friday 3 November

14. INFORMATION – to receive information from SDC, NYCC, YLCA

15. FINANCIAL MATTERS – income and expenditure, to arrange 6 monthly accounts check

16. MINOR ITEMS AND MATTERS FOR NEXT AGENDA
